My favorite sunday shows on WE are back!!!

Maybe because June is the season for weddings I have something to look forward to watch this coming summer like...

I enjoy watching Bridezillas, why because they're back for an all new season where this time their family fights back. I could only imagine how much stress and work will turn a blushing bride into a monster. Jaime wishes that I wont turn into one someday hehe...

Another show of mine where a girl can only dream...Platinum weddings where people would spend ridiculous amounts of money for a spectacular and very lavish wedding...loves this show but I dont understand why people would spend that much on a wedding...talk about hundreds of thousands to a million dollars!!! I cant blame them because their rich parents would foot for the bill...must be soo nice...

My Monday night at Jaime's place

So yesterday I spent the night at Jaime's place, I know it sounds like very typical but to me this is different because my bf actually did not spend the night with me. This is the first time I spent the night without him because he was at work. I call this our trial run, it was perfect because I was scheduled to work at the Anaheim clinic and Jaime lives about 9 miles from it. I was a bit scared to be by myself because whenever I would spend the weekend at my bf's place he's always there with me.

Jaime left at 8:45 pm for work and I was all by myself. His cousin/roommate Hector was not home yet so I decided to watch the movie we rented "27 Dresses", it was a very cute movie I liked it a lot. Hector got home and told me that he's going straight to bed since he has an early day for work at 4:30 am (thats waaay too early for me), so its just me watching tv again. I was still not sleepy so I watched some shows that I recorded one of my guilty pleasure shows "Paradise Hotel" hehe. 11 pm came and I went to Jaime's room and did an hour of the RD exam review Visual Veggies on my laptop. Doing the review made me a little sleepy so after finishing a couple set of modules washed my face and fell asleep watching "John & Kate plus 8".

My thoughts about yesterday, not too bad at all. I think I will get use to Jaime's night schedule once I move in, its gonna take some adjusting but as long as I have company with me I'll be fine. I still have 3-4 months before I move out so we'll just cross that bridge when we get there...hehe...

One busy weekend

Something to look forward to this coming weekend. This coming Saturday, I will be attending my cousin Myleen's daughter's christening. I can't wait to finally meet baby Gianna :o). My cousin's from Ohio are coming down to visit too, it should be fun. Last time I saw Brian & Uncle Joe was when Ate Myleen got married, was that 2 years ago or something??? I will try to remember to bring my camera so I could take pics and post it here.

The following day on Sunday will be Ama's birthday bash. Ama is my bf Jaime's grandma. It will be her 86th birthday, there will be tons of food, alcohol, the famous taco man and I believe a trio as well to play for the event.

Im glad that I have Monday off, I could just relax and be ready for work the next day...my poor baby has to go back to work Monday night. Im sure he'll have lots of time to rest Monday morning hehe...

and then 6 years later and counting, this is us now...

all i can say is how amazing things work out for good and hope that we'll grow old together :o)

Something to look forward to...

One of my fave guilty pleasure MTV show is coming out w/the girls from the "My super sweet 16" this coming summer...here is a synopsis of the show "exiled":

Watching My Super Sweet 16 can give us a glimpse of "the good life." Amidst the demanding divas and epic meltdowns that lead up to insanely over-the-top teenage birthday bashes, we get a look at the posh lives of wealthy families. And while we take that often envious look at how the other half lives, how many of us sit there wishing that these spoiled teens could be slapped with a serious dose of reality?

Wish no more, because they're about to get Exiled! Fed up with their seemingly endless mooching, their parents have had enough of this Sweet 16 set and are ready to send them away to learn the lesson of a lifetime. They've arranged to place their children in remote parts of the world with host families who have never tasted anything close to the high society life.

A few years after tossing the parties that made them stars in their schools and fueled rivalries among the rich kids, you're going to see some of the Sweet 16-ers you loved to hate the most -- Ava, Sierra, Amanda, Bjorn, Marissa, Chelsi, Meleny and Alex -- shipped away from their plush homes and easy lives and Exiled to foreign locations such as the jungles of the Amazon, the tundra of the Arctic Circle, the Andes mountains and remote islands in the South Pacific where they'll have to live like local commoners with none of the amenities of their normally privileged lives.

Happy mother's day!

I was away from my computer over the weekend so I will be giving a recap about what happened for mothers day...

This year I thought it would be different if I had something delivered for my mom and something given to my future mother in law, instead of giving them flowers, I thought "hey maybe I should get them something from Edible Arrangements. Edible Arrangements are floral like arrangements sculpted from fruits.

So for my mom, I had it delivered to our home Saturday. She was really surprised and loved our mother's day present. As for Jaime's mom, the place where I ordered her arrangements were booked for deliveries so I had to pick it up myself, which I thought worked out well because they were not home Saturday (they went to the casino) so we just gave it to her when we saw them on Sunday. We also went out to dinner that night at the Cheesecake Factory, w/my dad, 2 sisters Kat, Airy and Jaime.

Then on Sunday, went to breakfast w/Jaime's family @ La Barca. Went back home to rest for a couple hours then we went to his parent's house to celebrate mothers day w/them. We gave the edible arrangement to his mom and a bottle of Robert Mondavi Chardonnay for Ama (grandma). Everyone enjoyed the delicous fruit arrangement. After that we went back to Jaime's apartment to play rock band, we pretty much much left w/some of his cousins who are around our age cousins Amy w/her bf Mike, Jess, and Jaime's siblings Mel & Daniel...of course Hector, Jaime's cousin roomie...it was fun...

So much for a busy weekend!!! Im soo glad that Im working at the Amar clinic tomorrow, its only 5 mins away from home. I could sleep in for an hour before I drop off Airy to school then get ready for work at 10:15 am...

how nice it is to be away from work for 3 days...

Every year all nutritionists from different WIC agencies go to this seminar for continuing education called CWA (California WIC Association). This year it was held at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego. Conference was from May 5th til May 8th. The weather was not what we all expected it to be but we made the best out of this trip :o).


This year I carpooled w/my girlfriends Ilanna & Ali. First night we went to Chevys to celebrate "Cinco de Mayo". Drank some margaritas and ate dinner after dinner went back to our hotel room, hung out and crochet projects hehe.



The next day was pretty much spent going to the sessions, we went to most of the sessions on the breastfeeding part of the lectures, this years sessions were actually very interesting compared to last years w/c was boring and hard for me to stay awake hehe...



Wednesday had the CNC (California Nutrition Corps) awards night to acknowledge the interns who graduated this year and so are the leadership graduates. Yes, my name was mentioned and we had to go up the stage to take pictures.



After the awards we all decided to have dinner and drinks. We celebrated it w/friends who just finished the internship, and friends who just started the internship. It was sooo much fun, we went to Gordon Biersch, a brewery right in the heart of Mission Valley a couple miles away from our hotel. We also celebrated Chrissy's birthday and got her 3 shots, which she drank a couple and Danny helped her out w/one. My drink of the night, 2 flirtinis (very good) and a shot of Washington apple w/c tastes exactly like apples sooo good...split appetizers w/Chrissy and Sheila and we had quick fried calamari, glazed chicken wings and gordon biersch garlic fries which I think helped me a lot to keep sober hehe.







Our last day, checked out by noon and made a few stops for some good breakfast (I know its good eventho it was at lunch time). We went to the Broken Yolk Cafe at Pacific Beach. Ilanna, Ali & I all ordered breakfast. I had my fave eggs benedict w/their homefries, it was soo good. Ilanna & Ali both created their own omelet. I would definitely add this cafe on my yelp list for good food :o).


Our last stop, Rainbow Sandal Corp in San Clemente. My purchase of the day, the sandals that I've been wanting...Rainbow sandals w/swarovski crystals...the women's size were a bit pricey so I looked around and found out that they have it in children's size w/c is half the price of the women's size...fits my feet perfectly hehe...saved me money too...

Overall, had a blast hanging out w/my girlfriends from work and seeing everyone I know. Next year it will be at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose.

How I spent Saturday with Airy...

My little sister was doing really well in school so my other sister Kat and I decided to reward her with tickets to see Wicked. My little sister Ariana (also known as Airy to me) was really excited about going, she's been wanting to see it since the tour came to Los Angeles. I've been wanting to see it myself but I was in a tight budget last year because I was in the internship. Now that Im done with my internship and working fulltime again (woohoo), it would be a great excuse to see it with Airy hehe. So Saturday, both Airy and I went to the matinee show at the Pantages theater. It's been a while since I've been there, last time I went there with my family to see "The Lion King" a few years ago and then a couple years ago with my other sister Kat when we saw "Miss Saigon" loved both shows :o).

The drive wasn't that bad, we thought we would get caught in LA traffic but we actually got there 15 minutes before the show started, that gave me time to find parking. There is one right across the Pantages on Argyle St. and Vine I believe and it's $8.00 to park there. I just didn't really like the parking because its pretty compact.

The show was awesome!!! The story is based on the best-selling novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. Wicked tells the story of Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West and her friendship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Their friendship struggles through their opposing personalities and viewpoints, and rivalry over the same love-interest (Fiyero). The plot of the musical is set mostly prior to Dorothy's arrival from Kansas.

We had orchestra seats (right center side), really good view of the stage. My only complaint was that there was a few snotty people sitting next to us who does not know how to say "excuse me" or "thank you" when we stood up for them to pass to get to their seats...all I can say is "how rude!!!".

The show was really good that Airy wants to see it again hehe. I had fun hanging out with Airy and Im glad she enjoyed watching it with her big sister :o).
